Anger and Assertiveness
What does this course involve?
Understanding anger, where it comes from and how we can respond to it more effectively.
Anger is a normal human emotion, but understanding what sits behind it can make a significant difference to the way we manage our own emotions and respond to the behaviour of others.
This course explores the psychology of anger, the factors that can trigger it and the difference between aggressive, passive and assertive behaviour.
Understanding what’s behind the behaviour
Anger doesn’t happen in isolation. Our experiences, emotions, relationships, environment and individual ways of thinking can all influence how we react to difficult situations.
This course explores anger without simply labelling it as “bad” behaviour. Participants are encouraged to understand what anger communicates, recognise patterns and develop more effective ways of responding.
